Despite people saying that American Idol is losing its luster and that it is no longer the powerhouse show that it once was, its rating as still great and it is still fun to watch.
Season 7 is touted as having the most talented group of contestants ever. I’m not sure if that’s true or not or if people are just starting to think that because host Ryan Seacrest has repeated that mantra so much that it’s become annoying, but there are some very talented contestants on this year’s show. David Archuleta is currently the male singer to beat and Carly Smithson is the female singer to beat.
