Eating bananas at a dance lesson in London

November 20th, 2008

You get used to seeing tennis players such as Roger Federer gulping down bananas to keep up the energy that they burn. But it seems like other sports are taking notice of the magic fruit.

Inside a dance lesson in London, dancers on a break can be seen munching on the fabulous yellow fruit. And judging by how much energy they put into their dancing afterwards, it looks like it’s helping dancers as well.

So why bananas? Well bananas have a high potassium content which helps prevent cramping and strains in the legs. Which you can imagine is just as important to a dancer as it is to a tennis player.

So the advice is: stock up on bananas if you’re legs will be doing a lot of work.
