Tabla drum can actually make music, not just noise

To say that I was moved from the first moment I heard a Tabla drum would be an understatement. The Tabla drum actually consists of two drums a bigger one for bass sounds and a smaller one for higher pitches. And watching a master play this drum taught me that there are different kinds of sounds that can be made, beats an actual notes depending on how he played the drum. As a percussionist, I’ve had to deal with my fellow musicians cracking jokes that I don’t make music but just noise. After I heard what could be done with a Tabla drum, I’m confident they could no longer say that if I got my own.
