With all the doom and gloom in the banking sector and the fall in house prices which is pushing the country towards recession, it may come as a surprise that people still have money to buy personalised number plates. The recent release of F prefix registration numbers caused the phone network to overheat as people tried to get through to purchase them. Over 3500 were sold on the first day and it would have been more if everyone that had wanted to had got through to buy.
