A towercrane is a device with which you can mechanically lift and lower materials and also move them horizontally. You will see tower cranes at any big construction site. Tower cranes are very useful as they can rise hundreds of feet in the air and have a similar reach too.The main function of tower cranes is to lift large tools, concrete and other heavy building material at the construction site.The basic construction of tower cranes is pretty standerd. They have a BASE which is bolted to a concrete pad that supports the crane, MAST or TOWER that gives the crane its height and the SLEWING UNIT which allows the crane to rotate.
