Using a fleet GPS vehicle tracking system to improve driver accountability

April 10th, 2008

One of the initiatives that I am currently working on is to improve driver accountability. With fuel costs going through the roof the cost of operating a fleet of cars goes up considerably. I have been allocated an additional budget to improve a range of initiatives. One of the first things that I am planning to do is implement a fleet GPS vehicle tracking system. The ability to pinpoint driver locations will give me a better way to track driver movements. This will stop drivers from straying off course and running excessive personal errands. It is also a useful theft deterrent to prevent potential thieves from stealing the car.
