A necessary cost when looking for a job

November 30th, 2011

Betsy had always thought of living in the country side and having her fair share of chores, but she did not have enough money to get a farm. All her childhood friends had their dreams of working in various places come true, but all she could do was hope that some prince charming would come and sweep her off her feet. The princes must have been on vacation because nothing was happening in her life, so to keep the boredom away, she started looking for jobs in sutton coldfield. She had some papers, but that did not count because they were high school diplomas; who did not have one of those nowadays? Her one asset was her mouth. She could talk any bird down a tree. So she concentrated on looking for jobs requiring interaction between the clients and her. The first place she applied for a job was in a retail shop. They wanted a retail assistant who was experienced so she missed out on that because she had never worked before. All her arguments came to nothing, they were not going to hire somebody and end up training them. A friend told her about sutton coldfield jobs advertised in a particular website and she applied. It was a recently build hotel, which was in need of receptionists and all other workers. To her relief, she was called for an interview and she managed to convince them that she was ready to work . She was given a full month to go for etiquette train at her own cost before she could come to work for the hotel. It was a struggle to get the necessary money to do the course but she knew that she was not about to loose the one job she wanted so bad.
