Do your research when comparing insurance companies

February 29th, 2008

When comparing insurance companies, it’s good to read, read, and read some more. Once you have found the web pages for several insurance carriers, read over their policies as thoroughly as possible. If they don’t have their policies spelled out in an easy-to-understand format, you can call and request a copy of their materials.

Look through all the information you receive from the insurance companies with an eye keen to the details and “fine print.” Note any differences between the companies in terms of their coverage, premiums, and the like. Jot down all the items that attract you, and be sure to also include everything that doesn’t appeal to you.
