Doing a risk assessment of the customer’s home.
January 11th, 2008
Homeowners Insurance Agents must start by doing a risk assessment of the customer’s home. Why this is necessary is because of a simple reason? The agents would get a clear picture of the home that needs to be insured themselves. Information to answer basic questions must be ascertained by the Homeowners Insurance Agents on questions on how many fire alarms exist in the home, what is the fire exit process for the home, if the home is in a seismic zone does it have seismic detections in place and many more questions. This would act as a valuable risk assessment tool for the Insurance agent further guiding him to provide an effective Insurance cover to the customer.
