Everyone Wanted One!

March 7th, 2008

Last summer, our local municipality decided to hold a contest to win a brand-new car. They had several large 3-D posters made up to advertise the event — each poster was emblazoned with a different secret numerical code, that could only be read by someone using a pair of free 3D glasses. They put a different poster up each week, and encouraged people to go to neighborhood businesses to get a pair of these glasses — this encouraged people to patronize those businesses. The secret code was also printed on the side of the glasses. A person who secret code matched to the secret code on the poster was named a winner. This contest was a rousing success and I hope they decide to do it again this year.
