Internships Can Help Find the Right Career

My son was always sure of himself and independent, so I was very surprised when he took my advice of his career.
He went to business school because he liked the idea of making a lot of money early in life, despite my warning that there is more than money involved in a successful career. After completing two business internships, he realized that his heart really wasn’t in business and he changed majors.
Eventually he went on to become an environmentalist. College took five more years and he’s not rich. But he travels around the world, has many friends, and loves that he’s helping to save animals and the planet. He’s also glad he took my advice.
