Lean manufacturing systems can help forge a competitive advantage

Productivity is important for every organization. Some companies have better production processes than others. The Japanese have always been at the forefront of leadership when it comes to engineering. One of the leading companies has been Toyota. They have forged a competitive advantage through the use of lean manufacturing systems. This has resulted in a cheaper production process and the ability to bring products to the market at a faster pace. Many companies have been determined to learn from this approach to adapt the Toyota paradigm to their own business or industry. This has resulted in the creation of the lean manufacturing philosophy which has become highly regarded.
