What do background checks consist of?

April 15th, 2008

Well, it depends on what type of employee background check is requested. A background check includes your name, aliases, criminal records check, previous addresses, a check of the sex offender registry, and also a check with Homeland Security. Employers can also pay extra to get a check of your moving violation records, or to check for county civil or criminal history. It is also to do a business check to see if a business they are thinking of hiring has any liens, or any judgements against them, as well as doing a credit screening. Depending on what the employer wants, this is the type of information they can get.
