Ms Bendel’s comment is totally uninformed – at least in regard to the ranks of entrepreneurs who are engaged in technical and professional businesses that are watched, reported, and audited sometimes to near-extinction. Entrepreneurial tax cheating (at the sub-megabuck level, at least) is a myth propagated by intoxicated 9-to-fivers late in the happy-hour and encouraged by lefty political cant that argues taxes are never high enough and then annually repeated at budget time by tax agencies in government whose budgets gain from the extra staffing this false concept claims to justify.
I have studied small entrepreneurs at length and have seen that few, if any in the above categories have any opportunity or inclination to under-report business income. More often they say they OVERPAY taxes in various categories because it is cheaper to do than than to account for the small items paid out of pocket, and the large items that require a team building activities of tax experts to sort out.
What many entrepreneurs face is the certainty of probing, picayune and idiosyncratic tax audits every couple of years by the IRS — consuming enough time to likely assure loss of a significant portion of the year’s earnings – or next year’s.
I have heard the same accusation aimed at small shopkeepers, itinerant trades, etc. Possibly there may be some creative accounting in those marginally distinctive business retail categories where a fair fraction of the businesses fail every year for lack of profit, but not my area of experience. A key distinction is that most entrepreneurs are trying to grow their business into something better and bigger. They are fighting the clocks of personal career span, old age, and evolving markets, and most in that position really can’t be bothered with messing around stealing pennies on the dollar when they really want to generate more business and pay MORE taxes as the necessary consequence.
Would be very interesting, and instructive, to compare the tax avoidance results for the million or so (often struggling) actuak entrepreneurs in the US with those of our 20 million illegal immigrants (also struggling) and the businesses that employ them.

team building activities
It’s funny this article has appeared in WSJ. Paul Quinn College has not just started this process, actually this has been going for at least a decade. In the last four years under the leadership of Sorrell his new enrollment team building activities that he said would do big things, stopped recruiting Hispanics and others. In the early 2000s, there was a Hispanic presence, along with cultural activities. Activities included Cinco de Mayo, Hispanic Month, Baseball Club just to name a few. Since Sorrell has been at PQC he has discontinued all mentioned activities. Jessica was recruited by our past recruiter Nena Taylor, who was successful in recruiting students of all races, but let go from the school. As a favor to a friend, he hired a inexperienced director and assistant director whom are no longer with the college because of mere failure to recruit students of any kind. Thus far there has not been anyone to stand up to Nena and Cherice standards who were the previous enrollment team! The office has been under staffed with inexperienced persons for almost 3 years, so yes this seems new to Sorrell who knows nothing about Higher Education, let alone recruiting. He thinks he has created phenomenon. When it is in fact a quality that PQC history represents, nothing NEW. Don’t let Sorrell fool you, he is not trying to embrace students to continue the HBCU legacy. He needs students to stay open and that’s it and that’s all!!
Also, it’s funny that he would have Celia Solo listed in this article, especially after he didn’t really think she was a presidential scholar, but knew she would be good for publicity stunts. It’s funny how people can use a person and not be concerned about them personally, only how they can help them in the spotlight.

My brother happen to drop by the house. I asked him to stay over the night so that we could talk bout a lot of things. Early next day, during breakfast, He told me that the electrical outlets around the house is somewhat old and if not, obsolete. With this, I went to a denver electrical and have my house being evaluated. when it was confirmed that some of my electrical outlets are obsolete, I asked them to replace it with a newer model. I also let them replace the switches just to be sure that everything is uniform as these things ages.

People throughout the country at the moment are working in two jobs in order to earn enough money for their needs. This is at least what is happening in most towns that I have visited in the country lately except in Tamworth. The cost of living has become so high such that with a little earning, a person will not be able to meet even a half of his needs these days. Parents are suffering so much because they have to fend for their children and themselves. In tamworth though, things are quite different. This is because tamworth jobs are still well paying even with the increasing cost of living and most people can afford to cater for most of their needs. When the cost of living started going up, the employers in the town agreed to have minimal pay which the least paid employer should be taking home. Therefore at least most of the workers in the town are have enough money in the end for their basic needs and even though they will need an extra job, it is because of their wants. I wish all of us could get ourselves a tamworth job but that is not possible at all because we cannot work in one town all of us. What is remaining for us to do is to ask our employers to set a minimum pay for employees also as per the cost of living and then we will be working with minimal stress since most of our needs will be well catered for. This is what will give the person the satisfaction that he is working for the best employer.

Unlike any other financial market, investors can respond to currency fluctuations caused by economic, social and political events at the time they occur – real time- day or night.The FOREX market is considered an Over The Counter (OTC) or ‘interbank’ market. This is because the transactions are conducted between two counterparts over the telephone or via an electronic network. Trading is not centralized on an exchange compared to stocks and futures markets.Understanding FOREX quotesReading a FOREX quote may seem a bit confusing at first. However, it’s really quite simple if you remember two things: 1) The first currency listed first is the base currency and 2) the value of the base currency is always 1. The US dollar is the centerpiece of the FOREX market and is normally considered the ‘base’ currency for quotes. In the “Majors”, this includes USD/JPY, USD/CHF and USD/CAD. For these currencies and many others, quotes are expressed as a unit of $1 USD per the second currency quoted in the pair. For example, a quote of USD/JPY 110.01 means that one U.S. dollar is equal to 110.01 Japanese yen.When the U.S. dollar is the base unit and a currency quote goes up, it means the dollar has appreciated in value and the other currency has weakened.
