After DVD

Who would have thought that there would come a time when you did not purchase VHS tapes anymore? I remember when I first saw DVD’s and the enormous package and price tag that came with them that they would never make it. Obviously now DVD’s are the only way to go but there are so many choices with which DVD to buy. I suppose it is back to the original debate between VHS versus Beta. Anyway, if I go ahead and commit to a DVD replication for my information for widespread distribution, how soon before the DVD morph into a different medium?

A Software Solution

My husband became a part-time realtor because he loved doing it. But he wasn’t ready to “quite his day” job as a computer technician.

One reason was that he was spending so much time on his paperwork, trying to organize his listings, commissions, and other information.

But, being a “techie”, he loved software, so when he attended a real estate seminar, he went straight for the software vendors. To his surprise he found that he could use Lone Wolf Real Estate Software to do his organizing.

Once he got the software home, he was quick to use it. As a result, he is now spending much more time enjoying his real estate business and expects to do it full time very soon.

Software Testing: Back to Basics

In the industry of software testing, you’ll find a lot of experts and amateurs. If there’s one thing they have in common, it’s the fact that both may forget to cover the basics. You’ll find experts forgetting the simple basics that got them in the industry in the first place. One of the best things anyone can do is to invest in software testing courses. Here are a couple of software testing course basics you should remember at all times: new or old, take the time to learn; put in the effort to spot errors and you’ll be fine; never put theory on the shelf – find ways to implement it. Once you consider these basics, you’ll be on your way to better software testing.

Where can I buy printer ink in bulk?

I am tired of always having to run out to the store to get more printer ink when I am in the middle of an important project. I would like to just stock up on ink so I don’t have to worry about this for a while. Can anyone tell me where I can get printer ink in bulk? This would really make things a lot easier for me I think. I would just be able to go in my storage closet or a drawer to get new ink rather than having to drive all the way to the office supply store.

A Faster Computer

When I first got a computer I thought it worked like any other “appliance”. Just plug it in and use it.

But within a few months my fast little computer was freezing, crashing, and just plain slow.

So I went online and, after reading a registry cleaner review, realized I needed to clean up my computer’s registry.

I bought the number one recommended product online and was delighted when my computer ran like it was new.

Since then I haven’t gone a week without running the cleaner and haven’t had a problem since. I would recommend it to anyone whose computer just isn’t what it used to be.

RegCure reviews

Over the last few months, I have been asked to write a number of RegCure reviews and in each of those reg cure reviews I have said that Reg Cure is the absolute best product that you can get in order to fix a slow p-c.  and to fix a slow p-c you really must clean the registry because it controls so much of what happens inside your p-c.  all applications are affected when the p-c registry is not running righ.  this is the reason why your p-c freezes up, runs like a slug, and crashes

Built-In Memory

I have many times previously in some of my Computer and registry articles recommended the excellent program Memtest for testing of memory (the computer, then) if you suspect a problem with it. But in Windows Vista you don’t need it - there’s a built-in memory. You can find it under Administrative Tools in Control Panel. Start the Memory Diagnostic Tool and then choose to restart and test immediately, or to test at the next computer startup. The test is run automatically, and a progress bar will appear. When it is finished restart Windows again. If no error is found with Memory Diagnostic tool displays a message on it.  If an error is detected, you get information about it. Advanced settings for memory control, you can access by pressing F1 while the program is running.

DSLRs finally have ability to shoot videos in HD

It’s been a good few weeks for DSLRs. Just after Nikon’s D90 became the first ever to jump into the sweet, sweet waters of the HD video pool, Canon did a gigantic cannonball today with the EOS 5D Mk II, upping the game to full 1080p captures at 30fps. Toslink Cable says the question that all of this good news brings up is: Why now? Why haven’t the DSLRs we’ve been using for years ever been able to grab video clips like their cheaper pocket-cam brethren? Let’s take a look at the roadblocks that have stood in the way of the DSLR video revolution, and why Canon, Nikon and others are only just now starting to Bigfoot right over them.

Why are the Swiss so good at making watches?

There are certain countries that are regarded as the best in their field for manufacturing certain products. The Belgians are well known as master chocolate makers and the Swiss are regarded as the finest watch makers. The Swiss have been making timepieces since the middle of the 16th Century. The watch making industry boomed there following the banning of wearing jewellery. Today, the Watch industry is still huge business for Switzerland as it is their third largest export. They are still highly regarded and include such prestigious names as Tag Heuer. If a Tag Heuer watch is slightly out of your price range, why not have a look at the latest fashion trend, the Toy Watch?

technology finally takes a leap

It’s ridiculous how our technology leaps ahead in some areas and lags far, far behind in others. We put people into space, for heaven’s sake, but most of our cars get the same gas mileage they did in 1975. I was so relieved, the other day, when I saw a gas 4 free review while I was browsing on-line. There are now e-books available that show people, even those who are not mechanically inclined, how to convert their cars into vehicles that are much more gas efficient and earth friendly. It’s about time! It makes me wonder what other areas of technology need advancement.

Microsoft to slash Xbox 360 price in Japan

Microsoft Corp will slash the price of its Xbox 360 game console in Japan by about 30 percent, below Nintendo Co’s Wii and Sony Corp’s PlayStation 3 as it tries to boost its market share, a newspaper reported on Monday. According to Xbox 360 Blog, demand for the Xbox 360 has been tepid in Japan, mainly due to a lack of popular games. In contrast, the market-leading Wii is thriving on a range of innovative software, prompting Nintendo to raise its earning forecast on Friday. KBC Securities analyst Hiroshi Kamide said a price cut alone is unlikely to trigger a jump in demand for the Xbox 360 and Microsoft needs to focus more on producing attractive software. “Popular software is now serving as a tail wind to Xbox sales,” he said. “Even if they slash the console price, that would not directly boost sales unless they release more good software,” he added. Robust demand for Namco Bandai Holdings’ ‘Tales of Vesperia’ role-playing game helped Xbox 360 sales in Japan beat the PS3 for the first time in the week ended Aug. 10. Microsoft will lower the price of the Xbox 360 Arcade model by 8,000 yen ($73.92) to 19,800 yen, the Nikkei business daily said. The Arcade does not come equipped with a hard drive and is the least expensive of the three Xbox 360 models. The company has already cut the price in the United States, Europe and four Asian markets as it tries to bite off a larger chunk of the $57 billion game industry. The new price will make that model cheaper than Nintendo’s Wii, which sells for about 25,000 yen, and the PlayStation 3, which sells for 39,800 yen. The Wii’s success has been attributed to inventive titles such as the ‘Wii Fit’ exercise game, its low price and its easy-to-learn motion-sensing controller. Microsoft will also reduce the price of two more expensive models with hard drives by 5,000-8,000 yen, the paper said. Microsoft Xbox spokeswoman Kazumi Ishiyama in Japan declined to comment on the Nikkei report. In Europe, the Xbox 360 Arcade model already costs less than the Wii. The Xbox 360 has lagged its Japanese rivals on their home turf, with 684,695 units sold so far in Japan against Wii’s 6.67 million and PS3’s 2.32 million, according to game magazine publisher Enterbrain. The Xbox 360 was launched about a year before its rivals.
