The different kinds of Ancestry dna tests available are categorized into four. These include; paternal lineage, maternal lineage , ethnic make-up, Y-DNA and Y-SNP tests. The X-dna tests reveals the characteristics of the X chromosomes in an individual to detect genetic genealogies. It is very helpful in determining family relationships of recent generations. The Y-SNP dna tests analyses single base changes in the Y chromosomes of an individual .The Y SNP dna tests will give a clearer picture of how exactly one’s Ancestry lineage looks like. The Y SNP chromosome testing will give an exact matching of those who have similar genetic formulations within a nuclear or extended family.
