Articles On Essential Fatty Acids Reveal New Supplement Source

February 28th, 2008

I thought I knew about most of the sources of essential fatty acids. I mean, we have fish oil, of course, plus other marine sources like krill, algae, and even seal. Not to mention the excellent New Zealand green lipped mussel. But the other day I was browsing through some articles on essential fatty acids, and I came across one source I haven’t heard of – crocodile oil!

I didn’t even know that crocodiles had any oil of use to us. I know a lot of other animals can make their own essential fatty acids from the food they ingest, but I didn’t realize crocodiles were one of them. Kind of gives Crocodile Dundee a new lease of life, if you ask me. Maybe he was in the supplement business all along!
