Can you lower high blood pressure without drugs?
February 8th, 2008
You don’t need drugs to treat high blood pressure. Too often, patients suffering from high blood pressure, or even so-called pre-hypertension, are given drugs to help improve their condition as soon as they have been diagnosed. But the truth is that taking medications should be the absolute last resort.
Why? Because many of the drugs prescribed have side effects that are as bad as, or even worse than, the condition they are supposed to treat.
Before resorting to drugs, a patient should try everything else they can to improve their condition. And, often, all it takes is making a few simple lifestyle changes.
