How do alcoholics get into recovery? It is not as easy as one might think. If you know someone who is an alcoholic, then chances are that you know that it can be very difficult at times to get through to someone who is in complete and total denial that they even have a problem to begin with. For some addicts, the addiction is glaringly obvious despite the fact that the actual person will deny, deny and deny some more. Confronting someone about the fact that they have an addiction and should seek help can be very taxing on everyone. Ofte times, the person who is addicted to drugs and/or alchohol will feel as if they are under attack by those who should "love" them. This will result in feelings of anger and of them feeling that they do not belong or aren’t loved. However, there are things you can do- ways that you can better approach someone so that you don’t hurt their feelings.
