KNEE REPLACEMENT ALTERNATIVES

May 17th, 2008

In addition to pain killers there are other alternatives which can stop you from going into a major knee replacement surgery. The first of them is the conventional walking stick. It can provide a support while walking and can reduce the pain. Second in the line are the elastic supports which can be worn on the knees to give them extra support. Exercising regularly can also relive the pain in such cases. Furthermore a steroid injection can also stop the enormous pain at times. An operation known as the keyhole operation (arthroscopy) can also drain the water from joints thus will relieve the pain for few months. But eventually all of them fail to the final solution.
