What happens after bariatric surgery?

July 2nd, 2008

It is always a good thing to know what happens after bariatric surgery if this is the type of surgery you have chosen to lose the weight. There is a long healing process and you will probably not be able to eat for at least 2 days after and maybe even 3 to 4. Then after this initial time, you will get a list of foods and liquids that you are able to eat. You will lose weight rapidly within the first 6 months of the surgery. You might encounter some side affects such as dryness of skin, mood changes, thinning or loss of hair, a cold feeling, and an aching body.
