What Is Metabolism

Metabolism is the rate at which our bodies burn energy or calories. This will vary from one person to another depending on the amount of exercise you do together with the type of food that is consumed.

People who do a lot of exercises for example or are involved in a weight training program will of course burn a lot of calories. 

For others whose lives are more relaxed, and don’t do any physical exercise will require less energy and therefore food on a daily basis.

It is recommended to eat five or six small meals throughout the day rather than large meals especially at night when our bodies don’t burn as much energy.

There are certain foods that offer more energy and the answer to the question of anyone who asks what is metabolism cab be summed up as the rate at which your body uses and burns energy. 

Together with eating a healthy diet, avoid caffeine and alcohol also.
