Why Eating Salads May Not Help With Weight Loss
December 22nd, 2007
Whenever most people think about losing weight they think of eating salads as a way to help. Being on the Fat Loss 4 Idiots weight loss program, I’ve learned a lot about the salad myth.
The biggest issue with eating salad isn’t the lettuce, it’s good for you, but it’s what else goes on it. Think of everything most people put on top of their salads; bacon bits, cheese, sour cream, croutons, avocadoes, etc. And last, but not least, the ranch dressing.
When you add up all the carbohydrates and calories it’s easy to see how this doesn’t help with weight loss. It becomes very fattening, very quick. So, if you are eating salads to lose weight, be thoughtful of what you are putting on them.
