My friend was married for more than ten years to a police officer. He was unfaithful and they separated. She was a stay at home mom and had no higher education. The separation brought her face to face with what her future would hold without skills for a job. She had an interest in criminal justice and decided to enroll in an online university to get the skills needed to get a job as a insurance fraud investigator.
