Green Building

September 3rd, 2008

When you are looking to turn your home into a place that is more earth-friendly, one way to do that is to replace your flooring with wood that has been salvaged from older buildings such as barns. This wood is milled and re-sold. It looks great and has a very rustic feel many times. A lot of people like the fact that it has been recycled, and that they are re-using something which otherwise would have gone to waste. The antique flooring final product is absolutely beautiful, and I am very glad that this was something we heard about before we went and spent money on new flooring.
