What is the cost?

Do you dread the thought of moving? I do because I have done it before. Even under the best of circumstances, a household move can be an ordeal. It can cost more than you expect in time, energy and resources. Moving is a hardship and when I moved, I looked for ways to lessen the hardship. For instance, what about the expense? Since most moves are due to job requirements and in many cases the expense is covered by employers this may not be a hardship. But as the economy worsens, costs mount and jobs terminate, you might have to bear the moving expenses alone. In this event, undoubtedly you would want to move as inexpensively as possible. So, you might wonder, what are the costs for moving services? How much of what I have is worth moving?
