The majority of calls to the Canine Resource and Referral Helpline concern housebreaking problems, according to the director of the American Dog Trainers Network.
The second most common problem is aggressive behaviour such as chewing, digging or trashing the household. Simple aggressive dog training and obedience schools aren’t just for problem pets anymore.
Puppy training classes are becoming more popular. And forget visions of choke chains and shock collars — most schools use positive reinforcement.
