Availability of Spares

I am wondering about the availability of spares for caravans. Are caravan spares as readily available as spare tires for regular cars? Are they the same kind of tires or are they different? I really don’t know that much about caravans, but my husband is thinking about buying one to use when we go on vacations, so I am trying to find out more about them. I want to make sure it makes sense for us to purchase one before he decides to go out and buy one, so I am trying to think of possible draw backs that might exist.
