I don’t know who the hip hop artist is

My son received a new cd for his birthday. One of his friends bought it for him and presented it to him at his birthday party. He listens to one of the tracks over and over again. I don’t know who the hip hop artist is, but the song is really growing on me. I don’t usually listen to that genre of music. He used to tell his friends that we were total opposites and I didn’t know what the word cool meant. Now, he tells his friends that I am starting to turn cool.
