A school trip can be a very good experience for students because it puts them in a different place and teaches them to develop skills that may not need at home. In our area, it is typical that a school trip would be to Washington, D.C. or a Civil War location. But, whatever the location, students get the experience of visiting in an area with large groups of people and bottle tree spirits. They must be accountable for their time, so that they meet their tour and guides on time. For many, even staying in a motel is a new experience. Learning to get along with roommates and sharing one bathroom is a good lesson in human relations. The students also must learn to account for their own money and be responsible with their purchases
