Where do you store your scrap gold?

Do you know where your old scraps and pieces of gold are now?  Did you keep them stashed away for a rainy day?  And isn’t it raining right about now?

I asked my sister where is your scrap gold, and do you want to add it to mine and see what we can get at today’s gold prices.  She was ready and willing because it just takes up space in her jewelry box.  I don’t even have a jewelry box… just a corner of my sock drawer.

We took our stash to a jeweler in town and found 1) It is almost two pounds in weight, nearly 30 ounces!  2) The jeweler does not want it!  3)  He did think our old broken and tarnished items were of value as scrap metal.  At least we do have some information to show when we find a taker.  Next stop, ebay.com
