Reverse phone scans
March 4th, 2008
Service providers pay billions of dollars every year to maintain their networks, which the FCC promises to protect from outside interference. I contacted the phone company whose customer service told me that my calling card must have been stolen (this was the card sitting in my dresser that had never been used with a reverse phone number scan). But nothing prevents a carrier from extending your contract for two years whenever you call customer service and it does happen. If the cellphone companies refuse to divulge information about cell phone outages, maybe we, the consumers, should just set up a website, similar to e-opinions where everyone can post comments about the realibility of their cell phones service carriers in the areas that they live.
