Built-In Memory
September 23rd, 2008
I have many times previously in some of my Computer and registry articles recommended the excellent program Memtest for testing of memory (the computer, then) if you suspect a problem with it. But in Windows Vista you don’t need it - there’s a built-in memory. You can find it under Administrative Tools in Control Panel. Start the Memory Diagnostic Tool and then choose to restart and test immediately, or to test at the next computer startup. The test is run automatically, and a progress bar will appear. When it is finished restart Windows again. If no error is found with Memory Diagnostic tool displays a message on it. If an error is detected, you get information about it. Advanced settings for memory control, you can access by pressing F1 while the program is running.
