Family Travel on a Plane
April 20th, 2008
My husband and I have a 2 1/2 year old and a 10 month old. When the oldest boy was just about a year old, we flew to South Carolina for my cousin’s wedding. He did extremely well and we were pleasantly surprised at how well he behaved the entire trip, which included an unexpected layover for three hours. He did, however, have his own purchased seat, and he sat in his car seat on the plane. Now that we have two boys we are trying to determine the best plan of attack for family travel that involves a short flight. Our older son must now have his own seat, by airline regulations, but we aren’t sure if we want to purchase one for our younger son who can still fly as a lap passenger.
